Kent County Divorce Records
Divorce records are created when couples initiate dissolution of marriage proceedings in the Family Court. They include divorce and annulment decrees, which spell out the terms for the dissolution; documents, such as financial statements and asset declarations, submitted during trial proceedings; and case details, including party names, case title, filing date, and hearing dates.
For the most part, these records are public, although documents or information regarding minors, especially when the case includes custody arrangements, may be withheld from the general public.
People can view family court case files in person by visiting the Records Room. They can also contact the court to inquire about mail-in, email, and telephone request options.
